What does Crowdfunding mean for Platforms?

Although the world of finance is constantly in a state of flux, the recent changes introduced by the JOBS Act and Crowdfunding legislation have the potential to dramatically alter this ebb and flow like never before. Internet platforms are carefully analyzing how they can adapt to these recent developments as well as to anticipated changes that can alter the course of America’s economy

Every web-based organization involved in capital finance or investment funding is or should be scrambling to understand the depth, breadth and width of these new initiatives. Much has been done to identify the most important aspects dealing with the implementation of these groundbreaking alterations in the American economic model, however, much remains to be accomplished.

Government regulatory agencies, quasi-governmental entities and private-sector watchdog organizations are currently navigating a gaseous and nebulous cloud of proposals and controls, which have yet to be determined and are even further away from being implemented. Until SEC regulations are put in place, Platforms that try and address this emerging opportunity are at risk of having their business models and investments dismantled by SEC regulations.

The Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA) is a lighthouse organization, which can support Platforms, which are navigating this fog of uncertainty, in reaching a safe harbor of standardized regulations and secure practices. Created by leading visionaries and innovators in crowdsourcing and crowdfunding environments, CfPA is laser focused on navigating the emerging rules and regulations. Our goal is to provide forward-thinking, cogent perspectives that will help Platforms better anticipate the eventual outcome of the implementation process and emerge as leaders in the competitive world in which Platforms reside.

Equity-based crowdfunding can be a double-edged sword for many web-based organizations and Internet providers. The Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA) is committed to helping turn those edges into a highly useful tool for success.
